Individual and Group Therapy in West Houston

Welcome to the Tree House

Do you feel like you are on autopilot? Are you just going through the motions as you live your life? Does it seem like your world is getting smaller and smaller and that no matter how hard you try or what you do, it just keeps shrinking?

These feelings may leave you feeling disconnected and wanting deeper relationships with others. You may even be wondering if you are a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. If you can relate to some of these feelings, you may benefit from therapy at the Tree House.

I provide individual counseling for teens, young adults and adults in the Houston area. I also offer therapeutic groups, process groups and skills courses.

I use the following evidence-based treatment modalities:

  • Psychodynamic therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma-informed yoga
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
  • Mindfulness-based stress reeducation (MBSR)
  • Strengths-based perspective
  • Therapeutic common factors

My Approach

When we work together, you are the expert, not me. No one else knows what it feels like to be you, and no one else can tell your story.

I look forward to learning all about you. One of my main tools is curiosity—curiosity about your feelings and your life. I believe in partnering and collaborating with you throughout the therapeutic process. My goal is for the Tree House to be a safe place for self-exploration in a non-judgmental environment. My hope is that you find self-awareness, growth and, ultimately, self-acceptance.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

— Carl Rogers
