This group is inspired by Marsha Linehan’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The curriculum includes mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Because we all learn differently skills are taught in multiple ways to reach each group member. In this course, we learn by doing! Off sites field trips to the Bird Sanctuary provide opportunities to practice mindfulness by observing, describing, and participating in a non-judgmental way. We know what you practice grow stronger and we will practice, practice, and practice some more. The goals are to learn the skills and to learn you’re not alone.
